This guide shows you how to find previous pricing for a raw material so you can benchmark quotes and track pricing trends.
View price history from a product
- Navigate to Products from the main menu
- Click into the product you want to check
- Scroll down to the Analytics section
- View the pricing charts:
- Average price per month - shows pricing trends over time
- Spend by Supplier - shows how much you’re spending with each supplier
- Price scatter plot - shows all previous prices plotted over time
View price history from a request
When reviewing quotes on a sourcing request, you can see previous purchase history for each supplier’s quote card, including:
- How many times you’ve purchased from this supplier
- The approval status of their product
View price history from Analytics
- Navigate to Analytics in the top navigation
- Use Purchasing Analytics to see spend data by product
- Click into a product for detailed pricing breakdowns
Use price history to set target prices when creating new sourcing requests. This helps suppliers understand your expectations and can lead to more competitive quotes.
